Injured scaffolder wins damages
A man working as a scaffolder in the building of the new Wembley Stadium has been awarded £15,000 after he fell and injured
his shoulder. He trod on a lump of hardcore that had been churned up by passing cranes and trucks on the pitch. The man grabbed
for the scaffold as he fell, twisting his body which caused injury to his neck and right arm. There were no designated walkways
or any area that had been flattened for workers to walk across safely.
