£240,000 mesothelioma award
The family of a teacher who died from mesothelioma has been awarded £240,000. He had been exposed to asbestos while working
as an apprentice gas fitter for National Grid, between 1963 and 1968. He also worked as a housing maintenance inspector for
a city council from 1973 to 1975. When he was diagnosed with the disease he was teaching apprentices as a college lecturer.
