£177,000 in mesothelioma compensation

The widow of a former labourer has received £177,000 in compensation from his employer’s insurer after her husband died from mesothelioma. The labourer worked with asbestos on a daily basis and was never given any protection against the dangerous dust. Previous attempts to identify his employer’s insurers through the Association of British Insurers tracing scheme had failed but his lawyer, Thompsons Solicitors, was successful after making detailed enquiries through local insurance brokers.
