Trip at work award

A woman has received £11,000 compensation after she tripped at work. She was employed as a machinist, and had been asked to assist with some work involving use of a particular machine. The machine had been moved from its usual storage position to an area of the workplace close to an electrical socket. The machine was plugged into the socket but the positioning of the socket meant that there was a trailing wire.
