Fractures to bones in hand

A man has received £8,600 compensation after he was injured in a work accident whilst working as a sawman. The accident occurred as he was moving a bar to the saw using a crane operated by a pendant control. Unfortunately the crane overran and the bar struck his left hand. As a result of the accident, he suffered fractures to some bones in his left hand which required wires inserting during surgery. He was off work for 12 weeks.
