Leadership change at PartnerRe US

The Bermuda based PartnerRe Ltd has announced the retirement of Scott Moore, chief executive of its US operations. He has been succeeded by Tad Walker, formerly chief underwriting officer of Partner Re US. Mr Moore, who will leave the company in March 2009, will hold the newly created position of deputy chairman until then. Mr Moore has been president and chief executive of PartnerRe US since July 1998. Prior to that he was chief financial officer for Partner Re Ltd. Mr Walker joined PartnerRe in 2002 as head of the company’s worldwide catastrophe underwriting operations. In July 2007, he assumed the role of chief underwriting officer for the US operations.
