Greater scrutiny of vibration claims’ records

Employers should scrutinise compensation claims for vibration exposure more closely following a court case which suggested that a claimant had significantly exaggerated the facts, according to Law firm Dolmans. In the case of Andrews v Caerphilly County Borough Council, records were used not only to undermine the claimant’s credibility on his allegations but also as evidence to satisfy the court of the pre existing working environment.
