Council sues chief executive for mis-statement

A former council chief executive is reportedly being sued for more than £750,000 by the council. She is being sued for ‘negligent mis-statement’ according to a report in the Daily Telegraph. It is believed to be the first case of its kind. The council said that she deliberately misrepresented and mis-stated her abilities in an application questionnaire.
