£500,000 in damages for lost arm

A man who lost his arm in a road accident has been awarded compensation. He was injured when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into a wall. His arm was severed in the accident and surgeons were unable to save it. He had been about to start a new job but was unable to do so because of his injury. He received £500,000 in damages.
