US tort costs on the increase increase

Tort costs in the US increased in 2007, and costs are expected to rise considerably each year through to 2010. This is according to the 2008 Update on US Tort Cost Trends published by Towers Perrin, which revealed that tort costs rose by 2.1% in 2007 in the US. The study estimated that US tort costs will increase 4% in 2008 and an additional 5% in both 2009 and 2010.
