New US security rules

Vessels intending to call at the US, and which sail from foreign ports judged by the US Coast Guard (USCG) as failing to maintain anti-terrorism measures, face delay or denial of entry into the US. The US Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 (MTSA) mandates the USCG to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-terrorism measures in foreign ports.
