WEF points way forward for growth in ILS

Standardized transactions, increased efforts at education and data transparency are the key elements that will enable the insurance linked securities (ILS) market to build on the tremendous development it has shown over the past few years. This is the central message of a report issued last month by the World Economic Forum (WEF), working in collaboration with several insurance organizations, including Allianz, Swiss Re, Zurich and State Farm. James Schiro, ceo & chairman of Zurich, chaired the project.
