Supervisors and rating agencies blamed for crisis

The IAIS conference heard that the AIG rescue and fears over toxic assets have put supervisors in the spotlight

The tourist trade of Budapest received a useful boost from the international insurance business in October, thanks to the descent of some 400 insurance supervisors from 180 member countries, advisors, lawyers, and assorted insurance experts that gathered at the 15th Conference of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).
