Government welcomes fall in MRSA figures

The Government has welcomed the MRSA figures and said that the figures show that the risk of becoming infected with an MRSA bacteraemia is at its lowest for five years. The government said that this has been achieved by a package of measures including higher standards of clinical practice and cleanliness, an increase in matrons and hospital deep cleans.
