Accountants’ negligence claims over online tax returns

The campaign by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to drive online tax return forms could increase accountants’ professional negligence claims with a greater risk of filing incorrect figures, according to Aon. The broker has warned firms to implement tighter controls and cut the potential for damaging mistakes before the 31 January deadline.
