Hand arm vibration syndrome award

A roadworker who developed hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome as a result of using vibrating tools such as breaker packs, whacker plates and saws has received £262,000 in compensation. As a result of the injuries, he was forced out of his job and has not been able to work since.
