Liability Risk and Insurance
Claimant succeeds in bouncy castle claim
The High Court held that parents who had hired a bouncy castle for their triplets’ 10th birthday party were liable when the
claimant sustained a serious head injury whilst playing on the bouncy castle. The key issue in the case was the level of supervision
of the activities on the bouncy castle. The case has significant potential consequences for parents and others supervising
children and their insurers.
