Slip and trip award

A woman has received £6000 in compensation after she was injured in a slip whilst at work. The cleaners had polished the laminate flooring and left a residue on the floor which caused her to slip. As a result, she injured her lower back, sprained her knee and injured her arm. Her lawyer said the employer should either have used signs to warn people of the dangers or ensured that the residue was not left causing the floor to be slippery.
