Pothole caused bike accident

A man has received £11,000 compensation in a claim against a council. He was cycling along a street when the wheel of his cycle dropped into a pothole and he fell onto the road. He suffered a fractured pelvis which required internal fixation and courses of physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. The case was settled against the council responsible for maintenance of the road.
