Skip lorry accident

A man has received £8000 compensation after he suffered a fractured middle finger, bruising and abrasions to his hand, face, knees and a blunt trauma to his chest in a work accident. He was an HGV driver and was loading a skip onto his lorry when the lorry tipped over, injuring him. It was alleged that the skip was overloaded and that his employers had failed to ensure that the skip level had been reduced so as to be safe and had failed to train him adequately in relation to safe loading.
