Opposition party plans workers’ compensation reform

The ACC could lose its monopoly on workers’ compensation business if the National Party wins the next general election

If New Zealand’s Opposition National Party wins this year’s election – which opinion polls suggest it will – it plans to allow private firms to compete for Workers Accident Insurance business, currently controlled by the Government’s Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).
