Bermudian reinsurance group Harbor Point Re produced increased net profit of $161.2m last year, up from $79.4m in 2006, its
first full year of trading. Harbor Point wrote a larger gross account last year but ceded a greater proportion to retrocessionaires,
resulting in a 3.8% reduction in net premiums. However, on an earned basis, premiums were well up at $532.2m.
