Marsh merges aviation teams

Broker Marsh, currently in the process of streamlining busineses to deliver improved financial results, said its aviation reinsurance team will be merged into Guy Carpenter, the group’s specialist reinsurance broking arm. The team of 29 brokers is expected to move to Guy Carpenter by the end of 2008. Marsh said it made commercial sense to centralised its reinsurance expertise. Nick Frankland, chief executive of Guy Carpenter in the UK, said the Marsh aviation team now have full access to Guy Carpenter’s technical and analytical suite and be able to offer a more complete range of reinsurance solutions.
