Life insurance market feels the force of stock market fall
While French insurers have not been caught up in the subprime crisis, they have suffered from the fall in stock markets
The business transacted by admitted insurers in France dropped by 1.3% to €213.2bn ($336.6bn) last year, according to figures
from the country’s insurers’ association Federation Francaise des Societes d’Assurances (FFSA).
