Earthquake risk reviewed

Local insurers are believed to have extended earthquake cover to customers either free or at very low prices in order to compete in the market

The recent earthquakes in China and Indonesia have raised concerns among insurers of commercial property in Singapore. There are serious worries about whether the city state’s tall buildings have sufficent insurance to cover losses in the event of an earthquake.
