CHINA LIFE P&C AIMS FOR INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS

China Life Property & Casualty Insurance Company intends to bring in international strategic investors this year, the People’s Daily has reported. Liu Jian, president of the company told the country’s official newspaper: “We've contacted a number of the world's leading insurance and reinsurance companies and are working on the framework of stake cooperation.” Already this year China Life Property & Casualty Insurance Company has raised its registered capital to Yuan4bn from Yuan1bn. The non-life insurance arm of the country's largest life insurer China Life was established at the end of 2006 and saw its premium income exceed Yuan2.5bn in the first half of this year. Currently, it has 15 branch companies.
