Block exemption faces extinction

On April 17, 2008, the Commission launched a public consultation into whether it should renew the Insurance Block Exemption Regulation 1 (‘the Block Exemption’) upon its expiry in 2010. The consultation follows a sector inquiry which the Commission launched in April 2005 into business insurance.
