Woman wins supermarket compensation

An 88-year-old woman has received £34,000 compensation after being injured in an accident at her local supermarket. She was riding her mobility scooter down a path leading to a car park at her local supermarket when a wheel caught in a pothole causing the scooter to overturn and she was thrown out. As a result of the accident she suffered a broken hip which required surgery. The injuries have left her with permanent mobility difficulties and she now requires help and assistance from her family. The supermarket accepted liability for the accident at an early stage.
