Pothole slip and trip award

A man has received £20,000 in compensation after tripping in a pothole adjacent to tram tracks. He was walking along a road when he decided to cross the road which required him to also cross the tram tracks. As he was doing so, he tripped and fell in a pothole which was adjacent to the tram lines. He suffered a fractured elbow in the accident requiring surgery.
