Council racially discriminated applicant
A council has been ordered to pay £26,000 in compensation after it was judged to have racially discriminated against a job
candidate. The council reportedly was unable to explain why it had not shortlisted a Bangladeshi man for the position of head
of housing despite the fact he met all the criteria for the job.
