Life insurers on track to keep pace with 2007 growth levels

The frantic activity in China’s life insurance market is somewhat constrained by sharp fluctuations in local stock prices

The first quarter of 2008 is showing the same frantic growth rate and corporate activity that was witnessed during 2007. CIRC is expecting a similar rate of premium growth in 2008 that was seen in 2007 at around 24%.
