CEA takes CEIOPS to task over insurance group regulations

Tensions are rising as negotiations for the Solvency II framework reach critical point

The European insurers’ federation CEA has expressed concerns that the European insurance supervisors’ group CEIOPS does not make sufficient allowance for the Group Support Regime proposed for insurance groups in the EC framework directive when considering minimum capital requirements under Solvency II proposals.
