£1.15mn for road accident victim

An award of £1.15mn in compensation has been approved in the case of a man who suffered serious brain injury when he was knocked over by a taxi. Fault had been established against the taxi driver at an earlier hearing. Initially it was thought he would not survive the road accident, though after intensive treatment and rehabilitation he made a remarkable recovery. However, due to his brain injury, he has been left with permanent disabilities and will never be able to return to work.
