Damages over dangerous football tackle

A man who was injured whilst playing in an amateur league football match has received £13,375 in compensation. During the course of the game, the man suffered a late and dangerous tackle, that caused him to sustain factures to his right tibia and fibula, which required surgery and internal fixation. Liability was denied but the claim was subsequently settled through negotiation.
