£14,000 for broken leg

A man has received £14,000 in compensation after his leg was broken when it was trapped in an accident at work. He was loading a ride on roller machine onto the back of a flatbed truck, driving up metal ramps. As he did so the machine slid, fell into the gap between the two ramps and fell on to its side trapping his right leg. He sustained a fracture to right leg requiring fixation with an external frame.
