Broken kerbstone injury award

A woman who broke her ankle on a broken kerbstone has received £9,800 in compensation in an out of court settlement. She suffered the accident at work when she was walking along a designated footpath at bus depot and her ankle went over the edge of a broken kerbstone. She suffered a broken bone in her ankle, requiring plaster treatment and physiotherapy. Liability was admitted but court proceedings were pursued for a compensation settlement. The case was settled before going to court.
