Broken kerbstone injury award
A woman who broke her ankle on a broken kerbstone has received £9,800 in compensation in an out of court settlement. She suffered
the accident at work when she was walking along a designated footpath at bus depot and her ankle went over the edge of a broken
kerbstone. She suffered a broken bone in her ankle, requiring plaster treatment and physiotherapy. Liability was admitted
but court proceedings were pursued for a compensation settlement. The case was settled before going to court.
