It’s back, but in a different form

The infamous pants lawsuit is back in the news. A case has been filed in Washington, DC, claiming that a laptop computer was allegedly lost or stolen when the claimant left it for repairs at a store. The plaintiff told reporters that, in pursuit of media attention, she deliberately chose to pursue the same amount of damages, $54mn, that former administrative law judge Roy Pearson Jr sought from his neighbourhood dry cleaners in the infamous “pantsuit”.
