Arbitration agreement frustrated by delay

The plaintiff cargo receivers claimed damages from the defendant shipowners under bills of lading in the Baltimore Berth Form which incorporated the Centrocon Arbitration clause. The plaintiffs appointed their arbitrator in November 1972, within 3 months of completion of final discharge.
