Right of arrest against vessel owned by time charterers

The plaintiffs had time-chartered two vessels to the defendants. The plaintiffs alleged non-payment of amounts owing by the defendants under these charterparties and arrested the vessel Sextum , which was owned by the defendants. The plaintiffs relied on section 3(4) of the Administration of Justice Act 1956, and in particular, the words:
