Salvors bring action in rem to enforce arbitration award and to recover costs - Whether salvors entitled to bring in rem proceedings

The plaintiff salvors undertook salvage work on the vessel Atlas Pride under the Lloyd’s Open Form. At arbitration the plaintiffs were awarded £3,802,000 as a salvage award. The plaintiffs brought an action in rem against the shipowners to recover the appropriate portion of the salvage award as well as the costs of the arbitration.
