Taiwan life assurers... suffered foreign exchange losses of more than TWD13bn ($415.3m) as a result of recent currency fluctuations, claims a report in local business paper Commercial Times , without citing sources. The report claimed that, of overseas assets totalling TWD2.265tn, TWD600bn was unhedged. There was a 2.25% shift in value of the TWD on Friday relative to the US dollar.
