Singapore-based financial services group Great Eastern... has recorded a net profit of SGD546.9m ($386.7m) for 2007, up 15% on 2006. Premiums rose 11% to SGD6bn. Profit from insurance — life and non-life combined — was up 33% to SGD537.3m, of which SGD509m came from life assurance.
