SAM GHOSH LEAVES ALLIANZ, KAMESH GOYAL NEW MID-EAST HEAD

Kamesh Goyal, country manager for Allianz India and CEO of Bajaj Allianz Life, has been appointed regional CEO for the Middle East and North Africa, Allianz said yesterday. The appointment, which will be in addition to Mr Goyal’s current positions, is subject to regulatory approval. Sam Ghosh is to assume an assignment outside the Allianz group, the company said. An unconfirmed local report stated that Mr Ghosh was to become the new boss of India-based Reliance Capital, succeeding Amitabh Charurvedi. Allianz Board member Werner Zedelius said that the Middle East region would benefit from Mr Goyal’s experience in managing India as “the biggest growth driver of the region”. He will take up his post on April 1. Allianz also wished Mr Ghosh well in his future endeavours.
