Singapore-based Great Eastern... has opened a subsidiary in Vietnam to sell life policies and to manage financial investments. Based in Hanoi, Great Eastern Life Vietnam has a registered capital of VND600bn ($37m). Great Eastern said that it would also provide reinsurance and investment funds at a branch in Ho Chi Minh City.
