LIBERTY MUTUAL GAINS APPROVAL TO WRITE MOTOR POLICIES IN VIETNAM

Massachusetts-based Liberty Mutual has obtained the approval of the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance to write liability services for Vietnamese individuals and State-owned operations. It can offer motor policies, including compulsory public liability insurance. Liberty obtained a licence in November 2006 to write a range of p/c products for foreigners and non-state-owned business ventures. Liberty claimed that no other foreign insurer currently offered vehicle insurance with compulsory public liability to Vietnamese.
