WTO HELPS GROWTH IN VIETNAM
Only a year after Vietnam’s accession to the World Trade Organisation, the non-life sector in Vietnam is already close to
achieving turnover targets set for 2010, according to Vietnam Insurance Association general secretary Phung Dac Loc. He said
that accession to the WTO had helped the non-life sector achieve robust growth this year, generating premiums of 8.35tn dong
($522m), up more than 30% year on year. Life assurance premiums were up 12% year on year to 9.5tn dong.
