United India Assurance... has been ordered by the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum to pay US$5,041 to a claimant who was forced to seek medical treatment while abroad in the UK. The Forum found the insurer guilty of gross negligence, deficiency in service and unfair trade practice in its delay in settling the claim, which dated from July 2002.
