BHARTI AXA LIFE PLANS 250 AIRTEL RELATIONSHIP CENTRES

Bhartia Axa Life, a joint venture between French insurer AXA and locally based conglomerate Bharti, plans to have 250 Airtel Relationship Centres (ARCs) in place by the end of the year, according to Tim Thomas, chief operating officer of the joint venture. The ARC initiative from the venture is part of its distribution channel Telcassurance, targeting the 50m-strong telecoms customer base of Bharti Airtel. Meanwhile, Bharti Axa Life has launched operations in Kozhikode, described by Mr Thomas as “a high potential city not just for our State business but for the entire southern region”. Meanwhile, Bharti Axa Life has appointed V Srinivasan as chief financial officer. He was previously senior vice-president for finance and corporate affairs at locally based rival ICICI Prudential Life.
