PUBLIC BUILDING INSURANCE IN PAKISTAN OPENED TO PRIVATE SECTOR

Pakistan’s prime minister Shaukat Aziz has approved to the opening up of the insurance of public property in Pakistan, other than strategic assets, to the private insurance sector. Chairing a meeting on Friday to review the state of the Pakistan insurance industry, the prime minister also approved the conversion of State Life Insurance Corporation into a company under the Pakistan 1984 Companies Ordnance. He said that all public sector insurance entities should become corporations, with their boards being restructured.
