China Export & Credit Insurance Co... better known as Sinosure, is to insure the Chinese movie The Banquet against payment risks when the film is distributed overseas. The Huayi Brothers and Taihe Film Investment Co are understood to have taken out cover for in the region of $15m to $20m. Zhou Ji’an, vice-president at Sinosure, said that it was the first time that the export credit insurer had backed the export of cultural products from China.
